I don't know if it's just me, but every single time I see a Stater Brothers grocery store commercial (a store which I've never actually seen in real life) I get really, really irritated. All my life I've been subjected to sit through 30 minutes of advertising for something, which as far as I'm concerned, doesn't exist. Sonic's commercials are just evil, because I actually like that place and they don't have them out here.
2. People who try hard to look like they're not trying hard.
When I was in New York last week (and New York is notorious for this kind of stuff), I saw a girl wearing little navy blue 80's style gym shorts with green trim, an oversized paisley men's dress shirt, some brown gladiator sandals, and an orange bandana tied around her head. I could tell she was going for "carefree" but she actually just ended up like she woke up that morning and said "How can I let the world know that I don't care at all about my appearance?," before going through her closet and finding the ugliest things that could never be even slightly aesthetically pleasing to throw on in an act of self indulgent rebellion.
3. Being forced to over hear someone's ignorant or obnoxious conversation while in public.
My aunt sent me to the store one day when I was over her house trying to escape the sweltering heat at my home, and I ended up at a discount grocery store listening to two of the most ignorant guys discussing a "thirsty" girl. The conversation was definitely not appropriate for the setting and could've waited until they weren't within ear shot of a grandmother, some little kids, and an angry women (me), to share.
