But I didn't know that I LOVED him until this past Monday night when I somehow miraculously ended up at a Karoake bar on Melrose with him. He sang a few of his songs at different points in the evening- following the rules of the Karaoke bar by not signing up for more than one song at a time. His final song was the best: Jodeci's "Forever My Lady." I mean, he sang the damn song better than Jodeci.
Also in the audience were Venus/Serena Williams with... guess who?
Oh yeah! I was never a Common girl but he was looking really nice that night. If you didn't know that Serena and Common were a pair, catch up here.
This wasn't my first time seeing these two. I went to Common's album release party last year for "Finding Forever" where Serena Williams unsuccessfully spilt her time between Common and her then boyfriend Jackie Long.** Poor Jackie... he looked like he didn't have a friend in the world at that party. (I still maintain that Serena was dating Common and Jackie at the same time but who am I to say? All I know is the sad look on Jackie's face that night.)
**Because every time I say Jackie Long, someone says "Who?": He played the abusive boyfriend in Trey Songz "Can't Help But Wait" video.
Sexy... but was more famously known as playing Esquire in the movie ATL.
And will later be known in life as my first husband if I have anything to do with it.
