Missy's "Gossip Folks"
Someone once told me that everything worth knowing was learned in Kindergarten. My personal spin on this philosophy is: everything worth knowing can be learned by watching Saturday morning cartoons. Its true. I heard this bit of wisdom on a cartoon this past Saturday:
"Gossip is nothing but personal opinion stated as truth"
As simple as this statement is and as unique as the presentation (I was watching a cartoon about celebrities who are secretly dinosaurs) it really made me feel better about a current situation and reminded me of one of my father's admonitions:
"The people who care don't matter, and the people who matter won't care"
And when I think about it... all the people who are talking about me are the people who know me the least anyway. So why should I care what they think?
Other random things I actually overhead in the streets:
"I haven't been grocery shopping in so long. I only have one egg, some spoiled milk and no napkins."
(Where: the beauty salon)
"Porn stars usually drive Audi's"
(Where: while on a lunch date, or something like that lol)
"How did I cheat?....Why are you pouring bleach on my clothes?"
(Where: at home, someone in my complex was having a fight early Sunday morning)
