I was talking to my ex, telling him that I was going back to the gym and gloating about how I was excited to be seeing results. We're cool like that, so it's not like I was telling him on some "don't-you-wish-I-was-back-in-your-life" type shit. He just happens to know that I've been trying to get back in shape.
At some point in the conversation. I mentioned how I was afraid of getting big(ger) and how people making comments to me about my weight gain was starting to get me worried, when he mumbled something like "Yeah... people have been saying that."
Flash!
Me: So people have been telling you too?
Him: Yeah
Me: Like she's getting big in a good way (thick) or a bad way (fat) there's a difference?
Him: In a bad way.
Me: Are you serious?!?!!? ::in shock and utter dismay::
Him: But don't worry, you look fine. Plus you're in the gym so it'll all pay off when they look at you and say "Damn!" with the ugly face but mean it in a good way!
So one thing I'll never do again: Comment on someone's weight/how big they've gotten over the years. That hurts : (
But hey... it's motivation (cue T.I.'s "Motivation")
