"Peace is a Lie, There is Only Passion"

I have a friend who never fails to post quotes on his away messages that make me think. Today his reads:

Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The force shall free me.

While I may have lost him somewhere around power, I was really feeling the line "Peace is a lie, there is only passion." I've been dealing with my own search for peace of mind... is this possible? Is a peaceful mind and heart achievable?

The first thing I thought of was greed... something closely related to passion... You can never truly attain peace if you're constantly desiring things but how close is desire related to greed?

At this point, I know I'm rambling but I think that's my point. His quotes, like him, always set me to thinking and usually I'm found at a lost for words. Greeeeeat...
